Picture

Focus

I am a bioarchaeologist researching population change, human variation, admixture, and the in-between lives, deaths, and identities of past and modern people.

I sub-specialize in the analysis of fragmentary and commingled human remains.

Research

I study the Iron Age and Roman peoples of the Eastern Adriatic and hinterland, or modern Croatia, and Eastern Europe.

I use methods developed from quantitative genetic theories combined with known history to contextualize Romanization and ethnogenesis of the region.
